We are thrilled to announce that our engineering team has been working tirelessly on the development and deployment of SEDA’s testnet, and today, we successfully launched Euclid!

This is the first phase in our three-part SEDA testnet journey, focusing on laying a robust foundation. Utilizing the Cosmos SDK, we’ve built a solid framework for blockchain applications and integrated governance into the network, empowering stakeholders with voting rights.

An open-source block explorer has been developed for easy network navigation, and using CosmWasm we have implemented part of the core protocol logic as smart contracts, allowing easy upgradability.

In addition to these foundational elements, we’ve established a basic data-request functionality. Our testnet can now fetch open API data, marking a significant step towards seamless data interoperability.

We’ve implemented a simplified version of an overlay network without using a tally phase, where the most recent data submission counts as the final result. In the future, as we introduce the tally stage, the replication factor will be used for taking into account the results of multiple data request executors.

Lastly, we’ve enhanced user experience and transparency by making data requests visible in the block explorer.

We’re already gearing up for the next stage: Galileo’s testnet. While SEDA’s testnet is currently private for existing partners, we will be gradually onboarding more validators as we progress towards mainnet. If you’re interested in participating, sign up for our waitlist today and join us in revolutionizing data flow across blockchains!

SEDA is the foundation of real-world data on web3. It provides a robust connection that enables seamless connectivity and harmony among diverse blockchain networks.
