SEDA Programmable Oracle Infrastructure.

SEDA Engineers’ second two-week sprint for September brings the network closer to a mainnet v1.0 upgrade with the release of v0.3, which allows data providers to deploy proxy nodes for their self-managed integrations. Further highlights included the first public demo videos showcasing the speed of SEDA Oracle Program deployments and upgrades to SEDA documentation and the explorer in preparation for the first Chain Abstraction Hackathon featuring SEDA, hosted by Encode & Particle Network.

Deploy Oracle Feeds in 97 Seconds with SEDA.

SEDA CTO Jasper put the SDK to the test, showcasing the concept of ‘near-instant’ deployments shipping a SOL/USDT price feed within 97 seconds. Once integrated to SEDA, developers can configure their custom Oracle Programs that define:

  • What data is needed.
  • How and from where it is fetched.
  • How it is aggregated, filtered and returned.

Any network developer can follow the step-by-step guide outlined in the first public tutorial to learn how to configure, deploy, and issue a data request within minutes.

SEDA will continue releasing tutorial videos for various data type feeds, showcasing new integrations and various use cases for the network. For early access, join a SEDA community channel.

SEDA SDK For The First Chain Abstraction Hackathon

Github: https://github.com/sedaprotocol

Starting today, the network will undergo its initial public building as a participant in the Chain Abstraction Hackathon led by Encode Club and Particle Network.

The latest iteration of the SDK includes all the steps developers need to deploy their first feeds on the SEDA devnet to help optimize the network in preparation for a complete network upgrade later this year.

For Hackathon participants, SEDA is putting up a 10K USD bounty split among the top 3 most creative omnioracle feeds and 10 x 250 USD for other creative omnioracles showcased. To participate in the Hackathon visit the Encode Club Discord for registration.

Devnet v0.3 | Onboarding Data Providers

With the completion of Devnet v0.3, the SEDA team can begin onboarding the first private data providers. Providing data on SEDA offers a seamless and rapid integration for providers who can self-manage a data proxy node that connects any current or future private API to any blockchain via SEDA. This system empowers data providers to have more control over the data they provide onchain, connecting their feeds and custom pricing models directly between providers and consumers.

For more information on data proxy nodes, see the SEDA Technical roadmap: https://x.com/sedaprotocol/status/1826676864410124472

Explorer UI/UX Updates | Monitor Inbound Data Requests

Provide Feedback In The Dedicated SEDA Discord Channel #explorer-feedback

Explorer Upgrades:

  1. Consolidate replication factor commits and reveals columns into one column.
  2. Removed unnecessary data from the data request details page.
  3. Changed the data request details page layout to tabs.
  4. Added loading states for pending data requests.

The latest iteration of the SEDA explorer aims to improve the developer experience. SEDA is always looking for dedicated reviewers to provide the team with feedback. If you want to participate, visit the SEDA Discord for more details.
