Spotlight #3 breaks down a music ticketing platform built on the SEDA Network
With the ability to ship limitless on the SEDA Network, developers in the recent Chain Abstraction hackathon let their creativity sore. In this Proof Of Program series, SEDA has highlighted the AI prompt marketplace “Artemis” and disaster relief application “Emergency.” In the third spotlight, we will break down “Banshee Music,” a ticketing and onchain music marketplace that further highlights the versatility of SEDA.
“It’s not what SEDA built that’s mind-blowing, but what developers will build on it” — SEDA CTO Jasper De Gooijer

- SEDA’s Utilization
What is Banshee Music?
Banshee is a music ticket NFT Marketplace where users can access NFT ticket options for live performances, exclusive memberships, and receive future airdrops of new albums. Built natively on the Moonbeam network, Banshee uses a Universal Account solution from Particle to provide a Chain Abstracted experience for users.
While still under development, Banshee’s mission is to connect millions of independent artists with a global audience. Future upgrades are set to include an “Engage-To-Mint” function, where highly engaged users on social media such as Instagram can trigger automated NFT minting directly to their wallets. This upgrade automatically rewards a musician’s top fans when they like, share, or comment on social media posts without the musician having to trigger fan rewards manually.
How is SEDA utilized in Banshee Music?
To trigger an automated “Engage-To-Mint,” Banshee is building a SEDA Oracle Program that connects social media APIs to smart contracts. Using a soon-to-be-released SEDA data scraping module, Banshee can monitor and pull data from social media sites that will trigger onchain smart contract functions. Creators could set the rate of engagement required for their content, which would be monitored and reported onchain via SEDA to deliver music NFTs directly to a particle network wallet.
SEDA’s data scraping module will be an exciting upgrade for projects like Banshee, allowing them to access larger data sets that can be filtered for desired data. In Banshee’s case, this would enable regular scraping across a predefined period where data can be sent to the SEDA DR Tally for filtering. Projects can define what data they want within the scrape, and SEDA will only return the necessary data sets, drastically improving data consumption efficiency.
Build Limitless On SEDA
With day-one access to any data type, builders can finally ship unrestricted using SEDA’s app-specific Oracle programs.
