v0.4 ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░ 99%
v0.4 of the SEDA Devnet is the most significant upgrade to the network to date. This version focuses on Batching & Proving, where data requests are compressed into a batch before being made available onchain. Data receivers can then build custom logic ontop of specialized solvers to define how and what data is returned to their network.
Upon completion of v0.4 in the coming weeks, the SEDA engineers will initiate a network-wide code freeze before entering into final audits before v1.0, a feature-complete mainnet upgrade.
Report Overview
1) Continued upgrades to the Specialized Solver
2) Ongoing building for Batching & Proving
3) Contract Improvements
4) Explorer updates
Chain Achievements
1) The v0.4 internal network has been deployed, with the final features remaining to be shipped.
2) Batches now include the active validators (validators staking and part of block building process)
3) Batches include the data results with signatures ready to create batch proofs.
Overlay & Solvers
The specialized solver is undergoing continued optimization. It will enable developers to build custom logic on top of the solver. For example, networks could define what requests are forwarded and where they should be forwarded to their network. This increases network efficiency and further enables programmability.
EVM Contracts
Contract restructuring: Improved contract scalability, usability, and version flexibility.
Contract reimplementation: SedaCorev1 for permissionless batch proofing.
Gas Analysis: Identifying opportunities to reduce gas on all contracts. 5/
Explorer
v0.4 explorer internal release
Oracle Programs: Filter transactions based on the program

Beyond v0.4 — The Next Steps
Once v0.4 is finalized, the SEDA team will undergo a code freeze for auditing.
Followed by mainnet v1.0 — Stay tuned.
